Multy GAA Club
Multyfarnham GAA Club, established in 1935, is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to promoting and preserving traditional Irish sports and cultural heritage. The club proudly wears maroon and white and plays its home games in the scenic setting of Multyfarnham Community Park, located in the heart of the village.
The club achieved significant milestones in recent years, notably winning the 2017 Westmeath Junior Championship and the 2017 Leinster Junior Club Football Championship. They further distinguished themselves as runners-up in the 2018 All-Ireland Junior Club Football Championship, marking them as the only team from Westmeath to have reached this stage of the competition. In the final, they faced Knocknagree from Cork.
Multyfarnham GAA provides access to football for boys and girls of all ages, ranging from under-6 to adult levels. A particularly successful nursery program, boasting over 40 young participants, is scheduled again for 2025. Additionally, the club has been running a highly impactful "GAA For All" program, which aims to share the joy of sport and foster a sense of belonging for all participants.

As an inclusive and welcoming organization, Multyfarnham GAA is committed to embracing diversity. The club strives to create a sense of belonging for all individuals, regardless of gender, marital status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, race, minority community affiliation, or disability. To further support community initiatives, the club assists with the Community Centre run Lotto, the proceeds of which are dedicated to enhancing local facilities.

The year 2025 marks an exciting expansion of the club’s activities with the introduction of Scór, a GAA competition that blends the spirited rivalry of Gaelic Games with traditional Irish cultural pastimes. Both children and adults interested in participating are encouraged to contact a club member for more information.
Looking ahead, the club's facilities are set to undergo significant improvements. In spring 2025, construction will commence on a full-sized astro-turf pitch, complementing the recently developed floodlit pitch. These advancements underscore the club’s commitment to providing top-tier resources for players and the broader community.
Multyfarnham GAA welcomes new volunteers who wish to contribute to its growth and success. The club’s future is promising, with a steadfast focus on fostering sporting excellence, inclusivity, and community engagement.
